Just make sure they have pads or other under insulation, we're hoping for a cold snap!

I am telling them about what they need, but they are just hitting their 20's and think they know it all. they will have the tent as a bit of backup with some pads. Everybody is excited about coming to the hang. This will be my second hang and my son and his friends first hang. Not their first time out in the hammocks. the last trip we went on the temp dropped to mid 30's and we did well even with rain. See you all there.

Well guys, around this time in two weeks we will all be gathering and having some Taco Soup and greeting friends old and new!

You guys will start seeing PM's from Timberrr or me checking on details like name tag info and confirmations about attendance.

I have a request if anyone happens to have one of these things, I'd appreciate it. A 24+ quart boil pot that has a spigot attachment is a wonderful thing to have to keep us in hot water, so if you have one of these please let me know. I'm trying not to buy gear that I would only ever use for this hang if I can help it!

Do you still need the big pot for the gumbo? And while we are on the subject, I think I am covered ; I have 2 turkey pots with baskets and burners. Old dog has a burner and pot. Would be nice to get a basket for his to make it easier to get the shrimp boil out of the pots. If we can't get a spigot pot, I can bring a small pot to use to dip out the hot water.

Spigot pot is covered. Yes bring me a big pot for the gumbo.

I have also purchased 8lbs of coffee and have a large coffee pot (12 cup) for making coffee. We could probably use a second pot (maybe even a third) for brewing coffee in the mornings. How many pounds of coffee did we go through last year? I don't mind getting more if we need it.

Ya know, I'm thinking I may need to go up about two weeks early.
Just to make sure everything's ready.
    .
So many trees, so little time...
We follow where the Swamp Fox guides,
    His friends and merry men are we;
And when the troop of Tarleton rides,
We burrow in the cypress tree.
The turfy hammock is our bed,
Our home is in the red deer's den,
    Our roof, the tree-top overhead,
For we are wild and hunted men.

    Be there in spirit

    Well folks,
I'm quite sad I'll be missing the hang this year. Uncle Sam had other ideas for me this season. In any case I'll be there in spirit. Thanks to some misplaced aluminum tubing I've got a handy hammock stand in my room so I've been a fulltime hanger the last month or so.

Take lots of photos....if the weather keeps up this might be a cold one.

    Catch you next time,

    Zukiguy

I think it was around 4 lbs. 8 lbs should be plenty I hope! I have a12 and 10 cup percolaters. I have a airport. It would be nice if someone that has another airport or carafes could bring them to borrow.
Hoping itsandy brings his campchef burners.
