    Question What did it replace?

I'm just curious since there have been so many threads started recently about the Warbonnet Blackbird and people being so excited to get it in-hand; what hammock is being moved back a space in the gear closet? If you have made the Blackbird your primary hammock, which one did it replace?

Well that and I've never done a poll before and I felt like I was missing out.

Aaarrgggh! I forgot the Jacks; so used to them being 'quilt dudes'.
No offense intended guys, it was an honest omission. Use the "other" if you actually switched from a Bridge; doubt there will be many, if any.

I didn't do the switch-a-roo .... I just added the BB to my gear. Impulse buy. Mainly got it for backpacking in buggy weather here in Minnesota. Made a bug net for my DIY hammock but it isn't perfect and the BB's is!
In winter camping I prefer my DIY as it is just easier to use as I can access gear from either side. No net with frost on it and I don't need to stake it out even though you really don't need to on the BB, the shelf will dangle and is usable.
Comfort wise I find both of mine fairly similar .... with an edge room-wise to the BB.
Really glad to have a couple of choices .... a Lexus and a Min-Van.

    Switched from HH and Clark

I replaced a HH Hyperlite. I have also used a Clark Jungle Hammock in the past but sold it.

The BB has all of the features that I wished the others had.

Used Exped Downmat in my BB

Incidently, I used a Exped Downmat 9 DLX in the sleeve of my 1.7 dbl the other night. Fit really well and kept me really warm.

    BB replaced Hyperlite

I had previously used a HH Hyperlite, which is now collecting dust since I got my BB last November. A serious upgrade for me in so many ways. Top entry, flatter lay, storage shelf, roomier footbox. Plus switching over to webbing straps, ring buckles and biners.

But I think I am still having trouble in getting my Nest underquilt to sit properly under the footbox. On my last hang I had issues with cold feet, even with insulated booties on, which should not have happened. I have already implemented the retrofit from JRB to better hang the center of the foot side of the quilt. Anybody have any suggestions there?

Is it not snugging up against the bottom of the footbox? I haven't used a JRB quilt as an underquilt, so I don't know. It would seem that the mod would fix that issue, but not from the sound of it. I'm curious what responses you get to that question.
