What about putting a V in it anyway for the amsteel ?
    Just a thought.

Would not be as universally useful but would keep it to one buckle per side and let you use a single loop of amsteel.

Besides, it's only another 10K for the die...yowza!

MMMMMMM, frito-chili pieeeeeeee. Sounds like a Dutch Oven specialty contest.

Sorry... cinch buckles. There are tri-glides available if you can't get the cinch buckle with V top. Those die's are like, WOW, expensive.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

Lost...I'm not sure if we're all understanding each other or not, but stamp them out of T6 and change the design to add the V for use with rope instead of the rectangular shape of the standard steel cinches and you will have my order.

I would like to make a v-ring cinch but the problem is that you need two of them to make a single cinch. The equates to about $4- for one cinch buckle.
The design I am looking into is almost identical to the above cinch buckle, except stamped out of t6 aluminum. It will retail for between $1.50 and $2.00 and all you need is one to do the job that two v-rings would do. Granted, it will only have a safe working load of about 330lb to 400 lb but that would suit me and a lot of others just fine.
The rest will just have to lose some weight or continue using the steel ones.
Either way is ok with me.
CLASSY SALEMANSHIP, I will be sure to take note of your views.

That drawing is what I was attempting to describe, thx.

That and making the overall width of the v legs and buckle edge to beef it up.

Hi GM, yeah I thought of those too. Problem is that I would have to buy two dies. And the square cinch could be used a few applications, while the V shaped would mostly be used for hammock hanging.

Looks like I'll have to wait on Dutch to get the pricey Ti versions worked out.

I won't be swapping out my steel cinches for aluminum if the shape is the same.
