    Left or Right??

I know this is probably a bit of a pointless question (as most people will probably say whatever feels right?) but in a HH, Safari if that makes a difference, do you lay with your feet to the left or right of the entry slit? It's just that if I lay to the right my head gets right up to the bug net and this seems to be the way most people do it. Is there a "correct" way or not??

    Ta for the input,

    rdm

Every HH I have is set-up for your feet to be on the right side of the entry slit. The tie-outs are at different positions on the hammock specifically to allow more room in that area. Tie-outs for the shoulder area and the foot (actually knee) area. I don't have a Safari, so that one may be different.

Feet to the right... head to the left. Shoulders and knees roughly at the tie out points. It does make a difference. I knbow of people who do it the other way but they generally complain about the closeness of the bunet...
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

I think that you're right when you say that if it feels right, then it's right, but they are designed for you to lay in them with your feet to the right of the ridgeline.

    To add my $.02:

If you have any experience with the SuperShelter offered by HH, the pad is laid out this way as well. The foot end is to the right of the entry.

A point of clarification (I can see myself getting this backwards...), when folks talk about left and right in a HH, they usually mean the right or left when laying in the hammock on their back. NOT when outside looking at the hammock from the foot end.

Where are port and starboard when ya need 'em?
