10 and 8. Can I fit them comfortably into one, need their own? Who makes an affordable option? Who wants to pass some well used gear along? I'm the family pack mule. Weight is not critical. Thanks. Ed

I will give you the advice I was given. Hennessey Scout. Both my kids like that hammock the best of the ones they have tried. Probably considered heavy for what it is, but for the price it is a very stout hammock with protection. With a zipper they won't wreck. I took most of OEM rigging off and whoopied. Use different tree straps, but you don't need to do that. The OEM gear is perfectly functional.
I was getting ready to pull the trigger on a Vertex...and am glad I listened to others. No close quarter squabbles with their own and saved a lot of money. YMMV
If it moves, you can eat it. No promises you will think it tastes good.
If weight is no matter... Go with tablecloth hammocks... Cheap enough, easy enough... They come in a ton of colors... Here is my daughter's set up I made...
Live, Laugh, Love, if that doesn't work. Load, Aim and Fire, repeat as necessary...

+1 for the Hennessy Scout. I got one for my oldest and will be getting another for the next one. These are built great for kids. Super simple to use too. I added small prussics to the suspension for easier adjustment and set up.

My daughter loves her purple tablecloth hammock! Tough, cheap, and comes in some really cool colors. Kinda hard to beat that!
I have a GT SBP with straps and slings from AHE, if your interested. Brand new hung twice in yard.
