Nice video. I have never been up there, but will definitely get up there in the Spring. Beautiful!

I liked it. I would def. recommend the ridgerunner for your dad. Even if he decides it still doesn't work for him, they resell great here on the forums.

Good video, nice trip even in the rain. Thanks for sharing.

FWIW - I have heard your "reward" called one of the most calorie dense nutritionally dysfunctional food products on the market. I also love them. ;-)

Congratulations on persevering despite the rain. It came out really well. Making videos and then editing them down is way more work than most folk realise, probably the reason there are so many boring uncut videos on Youtube!

I kept spending one nighters in my hammock and my body would be re-learning how it felt each time. Then when I took a slightly longer trip of four nights it all came together and after two nights I was sleeping solidly.

It should say though that even when not sleeping well I never woke up stiff, whereas in the tent I frequently started the day with aches and pains.

I liked it, thanks for sharing. My only suggestion would be to add some music.

I really enjoyed your video and look forward to more if you are so inclined. Beautiful country and it is great that you and your father are able to share the experience.

Last week I took someone who is new to both backpacking and hammocking (I had taken him on one quick overnighter before) for a 3 night trip and he had the same problem that it sounds like your father did in getting twisted up in his sleeping bag and feeling confined. I showed him how to just zip up the bottom of the bag for a footbox and leave the rest unzipped and use as a quilt. The part of the sleeping bag under you is compressed and not doing much anyway, so as a quilt you have more above you and more to tuck in around your body and plenty of room. It solved his problem (at least that particular problem, he has some others too ha!). He wants to try the Ridgerunner as well.

    Thanks for sharing!
