I'll give you the same advise I was given a long time ago by another long standing HF member.....ready.....

Plan your trip, post your itinerary, and if they want they will follow.

Sounds funny, but it is true and your not being mean, or any of that.

So I talked with Dayglow and we came up with this plan for the hike...We think this will allow for the max amount of time spent at the vistas.

Looks like a great plan bro!

My attendance is still the same as per our previous conversation, although I mentioned it to my better half and she was all a glow about going on a hike 'n' hang. So.....there may be two additions coming with me (her and the dog). I am not going to change the sign up sheet just yet, we are still discussing the details---kids going to my mothers, stuff in order...you know all that stuff. But if they are a definite I will update the sheet to reflect it.

Sounds good. I am considering wearing my boots again rather than my nice semi-new NBs...Last time I went on this trail I almost rolled my ankle 4 or 5 times on some of the rocky AT sections. Thinkin' the extra ankle support might be wise. Not sure how others do with rocky trails but be warned that there is some rocky sections that will test your ankles.

Sounds awesome to me. I wear trail runners and have done so through some nasty trails, my feeling is wear what you feel you need to be safe and comfortable!

Man I want to join you guys bad!! I think I can almost swing it but I need to feel out my better half. She lets me do what I want but I also know where the cutoff is and I am doing a bunch of stuff coming up. I will feel her out and see if I can swing it. If I get the nod I will sign up immediately. Looks like a awesome trip!

Hey guys! I'm new the world of hammock camping, just ordered my gear a few weeks ago and am hoping to have it in by the end of October. I was wondering if this would be a good trip to learn some tips and tricks for setting up a hammock and tarp. I'm not new to backpacking, just new to sleeping off the ground instead of on it! Thanks!
