As long as you are an experienced backpacker than I think this trail will do just fine. Just make sure you have the proper insulation for that time of year. I can get quite windy and cold sometimes. Group hangs are also a good way to learn about hammock setups but are often not geared towards backpacking. So hike-n-hangs like this may be better suited to what you want to see. Hope to see ya on this trip if you can make it...

There is a google signup sheet that has the ETA to trailhead for everyone. Gonna all try and meet up at the trailhead at 1:00pm but like all hikes, we dont have to hike in together...Its hard for everybody to settle on a pace...So its generally preferred for everybody to just hike their own pace and not worry about falling behind or getting ahead of others.

Since I'm new to all this, I'm not sure if my following question is violating some unknown rule or something... My husband would like to go on this trip as well, but he's a ground sleeper...can he come?

I'm going to pencil this trip in, until I can confirm getting the time off from work. I signed in on the Google sheet. I would be heading to the trailhead from Brookneal/Lynchburg, so I can offer share my ride with anyone else in the area. I will confirm attendance by November 1st. Thanks for organizing this!

It doesnt matter what shelter you prefer to use, its all about the trip and just hanging out and having a good time.....We all pack our bags differently.
Heck, me and my wife still use our tent from time to time.

I need to talk to my better half, but if you've got room for one more on trip I wouldn't mind tagging along. It looks like a great trip. You've put a lot of effort into the planning. Just need to check my on call schedule and ask permission to go play.
