    WI-Weekend Scout Camp - Maywood

Went with my son's Scout Troop this weekend on one of their weekend camps at Camp Maywood by Wautoma WI. I wanted to test out my No-Sew PLUQ. Overnight temps where 41 Friday and 37 Saturday. I use my Army issue green patrol bag in TQ mode. Sleeped way better then I expected. I did use a bugnet which probably helped cut down on wind and retain some heat. During the day my tarp was in porch mode and at night I lowered it. The Scout Masters was very interested in the set up and wants to learn more. It was a good weekend for all of us.

A suggestion to archive the photos and compare how your campsights look next spring or even a year later. There will be a bunch more hammocks for sure. Our rate is about 70 - 75% hammocks now and when planning their activity calendar the boys are including "enough trees for hammocks" as a consideration.
Happy Trails to one and all.
Enjoy the outdoors wisely and elevate your perspective.
