===> I am definitely bringing a few pairs. I used Military Assault Snowshoes at the last Winter Hang, but also will bring a pair of 30" Tubbs, and some 45" Military Magnesium frame woven snowshoes. All three have their uses. As long as they help you get to the Firepit and the food!

I plan on bringing snowshoes. I haven't actually purchased them yet, I just have a pair that I'm keeping an eye on and hoping a good sale or coupon comes along before the hang. We better have snow cover.

Another thought on pulks. Has anyone ever tried putting a set of "skins", like the ones used on back country skis and splitboards, on the bottom to help with stability. I'm not sure how much they would help on sidehilling but I would think that they would at least help when going uphill .

Uphill should not matter much, as the poles are attached to my waistbelt, and unless I fall backwards, the Pulk is going nowhere. Once I install my retractable metal fins on the sides, side slip should also be minimized.

Time to close your doors and windows then, I guess. Or are you testing your winter hammock setup inside?
