    I believe I read somewhere on the forum that Dynaglide is so slick and smooth that it needs a longer constrictor.

    Perhaps as a function of it's diameter some may find it needs a longer bury but typically the larger the diameter the longer the bury. The fid length is based on the diameter of the line. 1 fid = 21d so as d goes up so does the length of the bury.

    the longer the bury the more weight the bury can hold, so the thicker the rope, the more weight the rope can take, the longer the bury so the bury can hold the weight of the ropes load. if useing a thicker rope, but it dosn.t neeed it to hold to much, then a shorter bury can be usesd
