    I have had a lantern using tea candles like that for years. I use it when doing F&I/Rev War re-enacting. You can pick those up in many craft stores.

    The small lights under the tarp are likely just battery powered Christmas lights. They seem to be putting off a pretty warm, yellow-ish glow. I have a set of the ENO Twilites (Twilights?) and they're definitely in the cool, bluish LED range --- but make your hammock site festive and put out enough light to read by!
