    3rd Annual Wisconsin Winter Hang!!!!!

Finally got below 30F this past weekend and I remembered it's almost winter camping season! So Here We Go Again!!!

Mend your mittens and pack your parkas because it's gettin' COOOLD out there! Winter camping season is just around the corner and I would like to invite all who dare to brave the cold to join me for the 3rd Annual Wisconsin Winter Hang.
AKA: The Wisconsin Frozen Butt Hang, Cold Cheese Hang, Or as my soon to be wife calls it...The Butt Cheese Hang

    When? January 10th-12th
Where? Chequamegon - Nicolet National Forest

Dates and locations are not set in stone.

Note: Camping in sub freezing temperatures can be dangerous and may not be the best time to try new gear for the first time (ex. stoves, tarps, boots, sleep system, etc). It is always a good idea to familiarize yourself with new equipment before taking it to the field.

I know this post is a bit early but I want to get the discussion going and ideas from everyone to help make this group hang a great one

Think you mean the " Chequamegon - Nicolet National Forest ". I could be wrong now, but I don't think so...........cause it's a jungle out there...........it's a jungle out there...........

If you are interested in winter camping I recommend the book HEBEPHRENIA Annual Winter Madness by Wendell Nelson.

    Lots of great ideas.

Sounds like we're going to have a good sized group this year.

Definitely going to try and make it again. Had a great time attempting to ice sail last year. Where's that video from Bill?
