    Looks awesome!
Is ice fishing a requirement in location options?

I don't think so... what location are you thinking?

Anywhere near hard water. I like to ice fish. Are motorized ice drills taboo?

My intent was not to persuade a relocation however I wonder if the Turtle Flambeau Flowage State campsites are open through winter (no vehicle access though). I marked it on the calendar to try to join and will follow this thread for any date and/or location shifts.

This is from the first post: Where? Chequamegon - Nicolet National Forest

In the past we've gone into state/national forest land and done a bit of bushwhacking....as in no established campsite. My vote is to keep it the same, but I'm not too picky

Sounds good to me. Again, no intent to alter course. The TFF is alittle different as they are nopay islands and both woods and water locked. I agree, "campsite" does not sound inviting.
I get most my time in (old nomenclature) Nicolet National Forest East so the Chequamegon - Nicolet National Forest West is exciting to get into!

    The pics look fabulous.

sounds good jesse. As for motorized auger, that may be a bit much. I brought my hand auger last year and it was razor sharp and light weight. One other guy brought a pick. I think with the number going we will have no problem cutting a few holes. I have extra ice fishing gear too. 3 rods and 3 tip ups I can bring. I may bring a skillet out and some shore lunch this time too. Oh and thanks Lonetracker for the instructions, IO do remember catching quite a few fish and watching you clean them on the ice wile warming your hands in freezing lake water. hmmm fun times

I plan on using one of the two new bridge hammocks Hikingdad made for my wife and I as gifts for our wedding last Saturday. Also, Thanks Snipen, Madhob, and Stormcrow for helping me get ready for this years winter camp with a new custom UQ. I'll get the order in ASAP so I can show it off at the hang.
