    Nemo Bugout Elite 7x7?

    Has anyone used one?
Bugout Elite 7x7 Theclymb.com has them for $155, vice >$200 elsewhere. Wanted to know if anyone has any experience with it before pulling the trigger?
My search only turned up the standard Bugout, and a gripe that there's no hammock line pass-through. But this one apparently has doors that can be zipped shut around hang lines? Could

Warning, my link takes you there, but you have to register to see the price. You can get a $15 credit if you sign up and spend $50. Lots of other great stuff that rotates, at usually (always compare) great prices.

Very neat looking idea (first I've seen it) but isn't 7x7 a little small for most hammocks?

    Here is a better link:

The problem appears to be the ridge line (diagonal) is a bit less than 10 ft so seems too short for most hammocks. What might save the day is the SRL length of ~.83 the flat length so an 11 ft hammock would have a theoretical hang length .8 x 11=~8.8 ft. that leaves me thinking it might work. This is one of those where the answer is a firm maybe. ;-) The first thing I would do is hang my hammock and measure it. Then I would make sure there are zippers where you think there are. At that holes could become a DIY mod. That will still be a skimpy tarp if the wind is blowing the rain.
    YMMV

I wonder if my 11'x11' tarp is too big, though. 14.6' on the diagonal. My ASR is 7.5', leaving three and half feet on either side. My straps are plenty long enough. Is that three and half feet on either side too long? I can make a 'lean-to' style shelter from it when space is limited, but I imagine it's a little close in a blow.

Campsaver.com has the 7x7 for $113.97 plus 20% off right now and free shipping. That comes to $91.18.

I picked one up a bit ago. Thought I might try it in summer when I take my dog along. Haven't had a chance to test my setup yet.
