Yes. Dave's offerings are outstanding. We still haven't figured out how he manages to put as much craftsmanship and value into a dang UQ shell, let alone the rest of his ever growing line of shells, tarps, hammocks, socks, as I write this he's making something else, new and cool.

He's also an extremely nice guy to meet and work with.

I'd go for the metered down, sold in 1oz or whatever increments you require, in individual bags, unless dead set on re-purposing. Only makes it probably 100% easier

I think Fronkey may a have thread or video on a "wet" method used to get down into baffles with less fuss and muss. If you find it, pleas link. I'd like to take another look myself, since I have one of Undergroundquilts.com 3/4 UQ Shells myself.

Fronkeys video was the one that convinced me that we could do this without a big mess and if you do it like he does in this video it really is the best way imo.
But we did not do it in the tub and were ok

    Re: Thoughts on UQ shells?

Fronkey is very skilled at handling down. i tried his method and had disastrous results. I then used the ShopVac method with great success.

I used drifter's method for the two quilts I just stuffed. Just make sure you get the correct drain T, if you get a regular T the system won't work. https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...ad.php?t=68741

I used this same method for my TQ, worked well.
