BillyBob, I didn't think you would ever even try another bridge with the way you love your JRB's. They are nice hammocks.
Oh yes, I was quite gung ho to get one of these, I think I got it last Christmas. But I have never really been able to put it to the test. Because I do all of my home testing on a Vario stand, and I quickly learned that combo just will not work. Although I finally, by using both a stand extender combined with some concrete blocks to lift the stand's feet a few inches off the ground, I got to where I could test it but it never did feel right, too much stand flexing probably. And when it came time to go to the woods, I hesitated to take an unproven hammock when I have so many that work great. So any testing had to be on woods trips for the specific purpose of testing the RR. And some of those did not work out so well. Until yesterday when it all came together and the comfort lived up to the reputation.

I don't know. My JRB takes a 26" pad, and the RR bars are ~ 8" wider I think. So wider than 26", but I don't know exactly.

My exped pad is 26" wide and 2.8" thick. The ridgerunner can't take much wider than that. The hourglass shape of the tarp isn't much wider in its middle than 26".

How do you use the iPhone to set the angle?

I use a free app called angle meter on my SG3 Android. It works perfect.

I was just using my iPhone five compass. It also has an angle measuring function.
