A small sidebar about Hammock Forums would preserve the article's literary flow. Just a thought...

    Very nice article, btw.

    ALCON,

"I just walked the perimeter" and all of the links to HF and credit for slowhike's photo are currently in the article....Trailspace's editor and Tom came through on the recommendations/requests....

I LOL'd at the very USian terminology for "rear-end" which has unfortunate other meanings to those of us who speak Aussie (and UK, too, I think). Heheheh. I laughed more when I thought it was probably picked as a more "polite" word... !

Very funny- the internet is an international place with funny consequences sometimes.

Nice article though. Is Pan wearing down sleeves in the cigar picture? (I did get the right Jack to the right trail name, yeah?)

    TH, et al,

Yes Pan is wearing down sleeves....FWIW, the "winter jacket" is actually a three part combo totalling 12 oz and quite warm....I recon it is close to zero capable with a DriDucks rain jacket cover.

    Bozeman synthetic vest....5 oz
    JRB Down Hood................2 oz
    JRB Down Sleeves.............5 oz

Best part is the pieces can be use in any combo or separately...Ex...Great for extending a quilt sleep range....Vest and hood for upper body/head warmth and sleeves as sleep socks for the feet....very nice.

    "Fanny"?
Do tell. I know what cigarettes are called across the pond (), but don't know the fanny secret.

umm. I'm trying to work out a non-embarrassing and family friendly way of spelling it out- let's just say that girls have them and boys don't.

I don't know if the auther had any extra messages (doubt it).... but I recon all forms of warm fanny are nice to have, especially on a cold night...
