Do the maps show actual trails and how old are they. Also what type of batteries does it take and about how long do they last?
and what scale are the maps? 100k? 24k?
I can only vouch for the AT and the Long Trail. In addition, the trails associated with the Linville Gorge thru the linvillegorge.net site. The software is from 2010. The unit takes 2 AA's. I've always used lithium and never lost power. It is rated for 30 hours on the DeLorme site.
