    I drank the kool-aid

    Hey Folks,
New to the forum here and this is my first post.
I actually won an HH a couple years ago and do love hanging. (I took my 10 year old daughter out for her first overnight on the AT a couple weeks ago. I was amazed at how hard the ground had gotten in two years...)

My wife got me a MacCat Deluxe for Christmas (how did she know!) I enjoy the extra cover it provides...

I ran into Shug over at MiniBullDesign. Like I'm sure everyone, I have really enjoyed his videos and after a few e-mail exchanges with him, got hooked on the BB. I ordered one and according to Brandon it is to be here within the week!

I am gathering from snooping around the forum that part of the "art" of hanging is the amount of tension placed on the hammock when hanging it.
I would appreciate any thoughts and insights behind the "art."

    Looking forward to the help.

    Thanks folks.

Ahhh! All of you guys reporting on your new acquisitions is making me antsy to get mine!!! Have a river trip planned with my dad in a couple of weeks and I've been looking forward to hammocking this time! The gravel bar camping always was the downfall of the trip.

Welcome to the darkside TheRev!? I used to stretch my Hennessy like a rubber band when I hung it. I spent six nights in it on the BMT a couple of weeks ago and I started hanging higher up on the tree and a lot looser as many of the experienced here at HF advise. Comfort is the same or a little better. I intend to try shortening my ridgeline next.

    Welcome aboard!

I liked the Cult reference, a topic that has been discussed in length (all "tongue in cheek" of course) right here in the temple, , ,
I mean the forums, yea, , the FORUMS.

Yeah, I usually pull my pretty snug. But I see and hear lots of the experienced folks here hanging them with what looks like a "significant sag"???
