    Yes, it has arrived!

My cuben camo dreams have finally been realized, with the unique, beautiful, light-weight tarp from the folks at Hammock Gear! There is nothing that compares to this; it's the best!

The other thing is customs/tax. I haven't heard of anyone escaping the cost of importing these goods by mail into Canada...although I once had a pricey tent slip through. Expect the Canada Post handling fee of $9.95 + the tax on the declared (sale price) value of the item.

    Cost of doing business...

Mine arrived on dec 23 - with a hefty customs and canada post fee ($51.00 )
But the new argon is so soft and nice.

I ordered a warbonnet tarp the same day and it shipped the same day as the hammock gear - that arrived on dec 30 - no customs / Additional charge.

I've ordered several times from HG and some come with no extra tax/handling fee - guess it depends who's working

BTY - thanks Adam and Jenny and all the folks at hammock gear !

Order 2539 arrived today. Kind of interesting as I ordered a burrow with black exterior with red interior and got a red exterior with dark grey interior. No biggie as I can reverse it if I want and I like the grey. Got a pillow with a lighter swirly kind of grey. Love the pillow and would have probably ordered that color for the entire quilt or half if I had seen it first. Quilt came packed in a black bag, very nice. Had the length made custom as I am only 5'2" and it is perfect for me. Quilt is VERY light and soft, almost so light you wonder how it will keep you warm. I will be giving it a go tonight for a trial run and I can't wait. The dark red is very nice, kind of a rusty colored red.

Test went well at 38*. I woke up cold once during the night but re-lofted and warmed up and went back to sleep. After my initial surprise of it not being black, I really like the charcoal grey. Turned it inside out with the red inside. Very well made and I can see why everyone brags on the workmanship of HG. Have a 40 mile 4 day kayak camping trip planned for the Buffalo River in Arkansas soon, so I am looking forward to doing some more testing before I get out there on a river bank miles away from everything. Thanks Adam to you and your crew!!

Because their quilts are differentially cut turning it inside out will cause you to lose some loft. So keep that in mind if you ever get cold when taking it down towards its temp limit.
