Two Garda Hitches on one set of rings?
Has anyone had experience using two sets of Garda Hitches on the same set of two descending rings? I double-hang with my wife, and I am thinking of a setup for hanging both hammock feet from a single set of rings on a heavy-duty polyester strap, since we hang the feet from the same tree. The heads hang from separate trees, so that is a different deal. It appears that the rings and strap would be strong enough for the loads involved, but I also wonder if the hitch is more likely to slip with two hangers, since the forces would be at a slightly different angle. I can't get out to test this for a few days, but maybe someone here has tried it.
I have never tried it, but I bet it will work fine. Once there is a strain on one line, the rings will be clamped together, which will make the other line fast so it won't move through the rings.

This is probably okay--I don't envision a time when one of us would need to make adjustments while the other is hammocking.
