I'd love to join y'all. Got a tarp and possibly a new UQ by then that needs field testing. Will just have do double check the work schedule.
I am definitely positively potentially going to be there..... The boss is expecting the arrival of another minion in late March so I figure this will be the last break for some time to come. The request has been approved but can be revoked without notice. Right now, I would call it at 90%.
The destination isn't as important as most people think it is. Most times all you need is a direction and "that way" is often a good one. Enjoy the journey, cause you never know when or if you'll be back.
I'm looking forward to making this. Might even have my daughter come out. I don't know if she'll be up for hiking, or just staying at the main camp. Either way...it'll be a nice to get her back in the outdoors.

I've never hoped to have a camping trip cancelled but I'm thinking it wouldn't be all that bad now.
Not this one.
I'm booked this same weekend helping a buddy and his youth group campout which I'd really like to do, but if that doesn't go, I'll be there. As far as venues, when choosing between Huntsville State Park where we are going, or the trail... I'd rather be on the trail.
Texas Fall Group Hang 2019
Looking back to last year to reminisce and forward to post Covid-19 hangs in 2021
Texas Hammock Hangers Facebook Group
I am going to make it for the hang. I will also most likely be bringing along my brother and a friend. Hope to have a great hang.
Sarge I like your idea of a key exchange. My truck will hold 5 and it's got an 8 foot bed if needed for gear/extra folks (who'll have to lay down to avoid detection ). I'd be willing to offer it up for either end of the hike.
Remember...no matter where you go...there you are.

I was planning on trying to thru hike the trail starting that weekend. I may be around. I'll keep following this thread.
