    Greeting all.

I am new to the forum. I'm from Pennsylvania, U.S.A. I am also fairly new to hammock camping. I became interested in it because 1) I live in a fairly rocky place with lots of trees and 2) I want to do long hikes and hammocks seem to be a lighter and more convenient option. I like making things and have started experimenting with making my own gear. I was refered to this site by someone who saw some gear I had created on the Instructables website.

PA=rocks! HA! Just teasing but when I went through PA on the AT I loved the hammock just for those rocky reasons (and regions
Dont know if hammocking is always lighter, but without doubt more comfortable and more versative in tree'd areas.
