    I lived in Lampang (1.5 hours south of Chang Mai) for two years and traveled though out the rest of the country. Granted, I came home in 2001 and my Thai is a little rusty, but I would be tour guide if you're willing to chip in on my airfare.

    To the OP, you'll more than likely find plenty of awesome trees with amazing scenery, but I'm not too sure how the locals will react to a "farang" hanging from them.

    My wife is Thai with very influential family,locals love me!
