cuban fiber tarp in cold temps

seems a good year to ask this since everywhere had a proper winter it seems.
how very Canadian for everyone south of me . so with all the -40* everywhere, how has the cuben fiber handled? I ask because it seems so thin and everything gets rigid when that cold. I am looking for another tarp, so why not look at the lightest for the size?

This is a good question, since I'm looking at starting at the top with a HG standard with doors. Not to derail but I'm curious if silnylon gets rigid at these temps?

Cuben fiber doesn't change rigidity when temps drop - seems to stay the same. I've had mine down to 3 or 4 degrees Fahrenheit.

silnylon gets stiff but cant really say rigid. My oldman winter tarp and the Kelty Noah tarp both seem the same at -40. But with Cuben being so much thinner...

The dyneema reinforcement gets brittle below -240f. Ask me how I know! Not sure about the outer skins yet.

-240 F? were you playing with liquid nitrogen, because in all fairness, everything I tried gets brittle with that...taste is funny when you dump fruit into it, but it thaws fine...

how do you know? I have to ask as part of my pre-purchase research
