    If anything, I suspect you have done the opposite of your intentions.

    A tight larks head between the rope and hammock means there is no movement between the two and therefore no damaging friction. Leaving the loop loose in the channel allows movement between the two and therefore the possibility of damaging friction. In reality the friction/damage is negligible but will be greater than the direct larks head.

    End result I made 2 sets of Whoopie slings and an 2 adjustable ridgeline (we have 2 hammocks) once I get them installed i'll post a picture up.
