    How is Down sanitized

    How do they sanitize down. Do they blast it with death rays or something?

    my grandmother used to save and card down from geese we kept for food..she would wash and process the down and make pillows and quilts from it...very labor intensive..from what i remeber of the process...store bought is a much better way to go..
