    Hammock bug net weight?

    Hey guys!

I'm just making this to basically see what your guys bug nets are weighing in at? Mine seems rather heavy at a bit over a pound and this doesn't seem right to me I'm using the curtain method from walmart I'm sure you guys are if liar with this? And also does anyone know how much less noseaum netting weighs compared to the curtain material? I'm not getting nano noseaum because that's exspencive and I can't afford that ATM so it's either curtain material or regular noseaum netting anyone know weight differences?

So feel free to post whya bug net you have what it is made of and the weight can post pictures also if you like thanks guys!

Depends a bit on the details of the design, but 6-8 oz. should be about right. By the way, Dutch just started carrying 0.7 oz/sy no-seeum! The normal no-seeum weight 0.9-1.0 oz/sy.

I bought a TTTM 360 Bugnet from costco, the company was doing a tour of canada, for about 40$. Their site claims it weighs in 15.9oz but my scale says its even less (12oz). maybe my spring scale isn't reliable. who knows

If you use tulle, you can get down to ~2oz. Of course that won't last long, unless you treat it like spider webbing.

The "battle scars" on my tulle net say don't use tulle. Accidents happen, and it sucks being unprotected.

I just finished my first [DIY] bug net yesterday and was wondering about the weight comparisons - can't beat the price, it seems! My W'mart bug net--per CrypticCRICKET's YouTube Video--is a bit over 12oz. This includes 1" grosgrain at each 7" end, with gutted paracord for drawstrings and two cord locks at those ends, and another cord lock with enough shock cord to give me an open loop of about 2.5' in diameter at the bottom.

Hmm so regular noseaum netting is quite a bit lighter weight then the curtain netting stuff from Walmart? Just seems exspencive to buy neoseum netting since I would need about 7 or 8 yards for the opened bottom style.
