Dry sacks

Hey guys, i was thinking about getting a UQ. Was wondering what kinda dry stuff sacks you all use to keep your gear dry. In particular im looking for ultralight ones, as i know they add alot of weight. Also interested in any other techniques/gear you may employ to keep UQ's/TQs dry, thanks.

I like to use JRB stuff/compression sacks for my quilts. They come in different colors and two sizes. For other items I use walmart drybags. They don't work well for fluffy stuff like quilts IMO b/c you can't get the air out of them.

Sea to Summit makes some great Sil bags. They work well for me paddling.

Hmm, see i was wondering if i even needed them, since all the AARN packs have waterproof http://www.aarnpacks.com/features/multifunction.html#wp . What do you guys think, let me know if any of you have experience with such a bag, and if dry sacks are needed with it or not.

I rarely keep my quilts in stuff sacks/dry bags anymore. A little external prevention (pack cover/packa) will do the job quite nicely when combined with a pack liner.

sweet thanks, Im gonna get an aarn someday, so i dont have to buy drysacks

another vote for sea to summit, the ultralite sil ones. work great!

I like most everything in dry bags makes it easier to get it out. Sea to Summit work great but the wally world cheepo 3 for $9 work fine for smaller things like my contact junk first aid toothbrush stuff, snack bag etc.
