    strength of large figure 9

I've been using the large caribiner clip figure 9 on my hammock line (not tarp). I've used it 5 nights now with no issues, no appearance of any issues, but I remember reading a while back these things weren't meant for that sort of load. Anybody else using this? Am I due a big thump?

    load limit

I am not sure what the load limit is but I have hung in mine before and I am just shy of 190. I did not notice any stress on anything either.

Is that static weight or dynamic weight? Is that with the test weight hanging straight down, or at an acute angle from horizontal?

Here is a picture of the large fig9 lifting 900 pounds. It did start to cut into the rope though.

I'm using a CARIBINER version of the figure 9. It does help to see that a similar product by the same manufacturer which is similarly rated to 150 lbs is able to lift such a large amount of weight over its rating.

This is what I'm using... (caribiner version)

Couldn't find a "big" size. Same rating as the regular figure 9 large, 150#.
