Short track definetly the way to go with a wagon. Its mostly flat, but there is some deadfall, especially the closer one gets to Hidden Lake. The deadfall will have to be moved or gone around. There is a washed out bridge close to the lake and it will be difficult to negotiate the stream bed with the wagon. We might need to carry the contents ourselves the last hundred yards or so and stash the wagon in the woods.

Its your call if you want to take it.

Homemade salsa is always better than store bought salsa, so mix up a batch. I'll go ahead and get a bottle of his stuff if he has it just to make sure we have enough. Its at the same place I'm going to get the watermelon, so its not an extra stop for me on Friday morning.

I almost wore mine today, went out at 4 PM on the Hickory Creek Trail. Did 12 miles on it yesterday, but finished by 1 PM when it was ONLY 101 (showing on my thermometer) in the sun and 95 in the woods. Anyway, decided to take a trash bag out today as there were two places where people had shot off a LOT of fireworks, then left it all there....by the lake (Lewisville). So, decided to not wear the kilt. Should have, never saw a soul and someone had already cleaned up the worst trash pile before I got to it.

Guys;

I've gotten a copy of the Forest Service Trail Registration forms in Word format so that we can give them an accurate count on trail usage from this event.

Does anybody else want a copy of this just in case I forget to print it out and bring it with me?
