Only 3 oz?
OH! Biggest problem solved... your stovejack doesn't have one of those heavy rubber rings in the center. If that part's not needed, I can move ahead with my prototype.
Have you camped in heavy rain w/ this stovejack in place? was there any water running down the stovepipe (when stove is not hot, of course!)?
I'm thinking I can make a 18" x 18" stovejack come in around 1.5 oz. Good to 700F, and less than $10.
My silnylon is coming in sometime late this week or early next. We'll see how long it takes to make the UQ, TQ, tarp-tent w/ stovejack, etc. etc.
Perhaps I'll have a few reports to file. I'll need a photographer!
