I have the snoring bear down pillow from Arrowhead and I love it. Packs up real small and is so nice to have in the hammock.

My wife and I both have the large NA's. We use the blue Ridge-rest pads inserted in 15 degree Big Agnes (Mine's a Lost Ranger)bags. We still get cold. We're in the Southeast, often hanging near rivers. Are Z-liners the way to go? help?

Thanks for the update Bradley.
I went with an UQ (Hamock Gear Crowsnest/Phoenix 3S) so it was interesting to hear about the performance of the Z-liner.
Before a flu bug intervened I had been planning on an overnight backpack/hang in the Wayne NF in Ohio Saturday night, and I knew that the 20 defF rated UQ would probably bee insufficient. So I cut six pieces of Reflectix to fit in the NX-250's pockets, hoping that the added insulation & vapor barrier effect would do the trick.
The night temp actually got down to +10 degF. Would have been interesting to see if I would have stayed warm.
Edit: Forgot to describe my pillow: The smallest Thermorest pillow with about 1/2 of the foam chunks removed. I find a "full-sized" camping pillow too tall for hammocks, even though I side-sleep.

I use my down jacket for a pillow.
Keeps my head and neck warmer and supported when sleeping, also when I have to get up to relief myself its right there to slip on.
I already have too much stuff to carry so packing a pillow doesn't work for me.

I also use a coat for a pillow, usually my fleece jacket. Double layered for just a bit of relief under the head and the arms stuffed in to create huge earmuffs on the side. When rolling to the side, the sleaves and jacket then provide the additional volume to support my head.
