I had a uncomfortable night my first night too. i think its just a foreign experience the first time. It was also in a narrow byre hammock. I actually sleep fine in my Eno Doublenest. But maybe that's because I'm a hobbit height individual

Keep an eye out for hangs in the area... a few of us goto the 501 shelter a lot
could come by and check out some setups and get some ideas ....
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold

I keep having a similar problem. I slept plenty of nights outdoors and wanted to get the same quality sleep indoors. Started out with a bamboo stand, but that didn't work for me. Then I got eye pads in the walls and started hanging different hammocks - I never got the same result as outdoors. Although I am using a ridgeline and got the angles *exactly* like I do outdoors.
I hung the same hammock on the terrace, same angles and ridgeline tightness feels the same - but the hammock feels a lot more "elastic". I don't know why. My guess was/is that it makes a difference if you can wind the suspension around something as opposed to having no play in an anchor point. Maybe the length of suspension makes a difference, too. Indoors, my suspension is only little more than 1m. Outdoors it's almost always 2m or more.
The other thing that has been a problem for me is my underquilt. It works perfectly outdoors, but indoors it seems to force me more into a straight line (instead of going diagonal). This means I get calf pressure. I'm about to get an extra wide underquilt now, and I hope this'll solve the issues.
Still, I'm curious to see what your solution will be. I don't think that tiredness has to do with it; I have been sleeping lots of nights outdoors when I didn't do anything during the day. Still found that sweet spot that has been eluding me indoors.
