Wow, I am overwhelmed by all the responses! Thanks everyone for all of the encouragement. I'll have to look into making a SPE and I will have to try making my Mistral into a Pea Pod. I was ready to give up Winter camping in a hammock, but perhaps I'll change my mind and give it another go.
When I do get an UQ, though I'm getting an Incubator (or making one myself).
I'll second that. Get it dialed in by camping in a place that is comfortable.
Winter camping is not easy. I'm still dialing in this and that. And I hate to be cold, but the tradeoff of what you experience winter camping is so magical that I MUST do it!
Keep at it. Experiment and try stuff/combinations out and you'll soon get to your optimal setup that will become your tried and true. I can't wait to see how you get on!
