question about diy snake skins
do you think this material would be suitable for making snake skins for my tarp... http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog/p...PRODID=prd7200 ?
I can't really be sure by the pic. I would be worried about trying to sew it, if the holes are really as big as they appear. If they are just blown up in the pic, and not that far apart, it would problably work.

if it is what I think it is, it might be better to hand weave something along the seams.

I used this mesh to make a bottom for my peak bag. I'll try to take pictures soon (I'll probably forget tonight) and post sometime for a size comparison. It did sew fine, but my peak bag also doesn't get very heavy or tight things stuffed into it. It may be worth it to try it at that price compared to Noseeum and if it rips after a few uses, at least you had a good prototype for a pattern
