Looking like we will have a good chance of some folks from all over the west joining in.....Where are all the Idahoans? Can we get more than a couple of us out in the woods at one time?

Thats a nice area too. A little longer to get to on the dirt roads but much more trees and more hiking trails to explore. Snow level will be an issue as those dirt roads will take a little longer to dry out. Thanks for adding the suggestion.
What about dates?
Looks like I have April 4,5 & 6 Available or May 30, 31 & June 1 available.

Hey Paul, this sounds fun. May looks good for me. That weekend in April is out for me..... I will be out of town.
My Wife's birthday is on that weekend in May, but the April date works.
You may need to take your own advice from the Utah hang thread and just pick a date that works for you and let the rest of us try to work it out.

Kinda figured I would end up making a final choice at some point but wanted a bit of input from a few more folks. Want to let this sort out a little first but right now I am leaning towards the end of May weekend. It's the one after Memorial weekend so the campgrounds should be a little bit calmer....everyone goes on Memorial weekend....but it always rains in ID on Memorial weekend.
I am also leaning towards one of the campgrounds along the South Fork of the Boise rather than Pioneer CG...They all have more room with more trees and from the sounds of it we may need it. There are also some hot springs in that area and small streams that might be fishable by that time along with lots of hiking trails for day hikes.

The biggest problem for me in the PNW is that we are spread out. Thats almost 14hrs of driving round trip for me from the north here. I would love to go and meet every one. I will try and get the days off to make it when the date is set. Although it would be nice to get something a little more central Idaho.
I totally agree Tom. When I first joined there was a thread about a "Hang for the West of us" I think Cannibal started it. Locations ranged from CO, to OR coast to Hells Canyon....and on and on. As spread out as the west is I think the more hangs the better. I have been thinking about trying to get up to Seven Devils this year....that's almost half way...kinda. It would be late July or mid August if I could pull that one off. If I do it...and really anything I plan this year I will post here so that we can turn them into group events if others want to join in.
