I will bring my REI Screen House and the extra fly. It offers a 10' x10' area free from sun, bugs, and rain. The fly also offers an awning outside the mesh area that can be set up (guyed to trees), though I don't have poles for it. I won't be in Hot Springs until fairly late Friday (around 8 PM), but I'll be glad to set it up once I get in.

depending on which direction you come from, the camp ground is either on the left right after you cross the french broad river, or it's on the right just before the bridge over the french broad river.

There's a little store out front and a small building in the middle of the entrance/exit.

If you park on the wrong end of town, it'll take you 5 minutes to find it.
Like fulminated said, it's right on the river. The campground even has the added ambiance of the lulling sound of trains going past you about 100' feet away.
Great campground and tremendous group hang. Hope you guys and gals have fun!

The hang offers great opportunities for liesure, whether it be going rafting on the French Broad, hiking a few miles of the Appalachian Trail, soaking at the hot springs, enjoying the many fine restaurants in town, or just chilling in a variety of hammocks and learning different rigs and systems.

Hot Springs is a fantastic venue for a hang. The river just adds to the quality of the hang. And I slept through all the trains last year just fine.

I first learned about ear plugs staying at a campground where a train went right through at 11 PM, 3 AM, and 5 AM. I found it quite relaxing when the ground would start shaking, but I could no longer hear the trains. :O
