How would I know where to put them?
The length is roughly 80"-84", and you'll want it centered, so if the uqp's length is 106", then that gives you about a foot at either end. maybe put three for the different bridge styles right around 1' from either corner.

Pics of 11' Momentum 90 MR Hammock 58" wide

I just slapped the 11' DIY Momentum 90 MR,,(tafetta) hammock on my bridge in the house. the Dutch quilt hooks sewed to it fit the bridge pefectly where I had dutch quilt hooks already attached to it,,if you notice the Knotty Mod ,,when I pull it more snug,,it raises the sides of the hammock up perfectly to cover the entire sides of the quilt I had on bridge which is a 50 degree Jarbridge by Arrowhead already on. I hate to say this but if I tied the ends up alittle more tighter instead of just wrapping the whoopies around the RL of the bridge,,its a perfect fit. And I mean perfect..and it is so workable as if you look at the shiny side of the momentum being dwr finished,,it will protect everything without a doubt. So,,maybe what your wanting to do is almost like making a hammock for a bridge to be covered in????? works for me.

Quilt hooks on the Momentum gathered end hammock are 82" wide,,,can you beat that???? perfect fit on the corners. And the Knotty mod with the shock chord,,adjusts and pulls sides right up if you want them high.

I don't have any trips planned anytime soon, and work is real busy at the moment, I'd be willing to send my hammock to you. It sounds like you don't have a bridge handy, and I think if you had it in your hands you'd be able to come up with something real nice. You cottage vendor folks are so helpful I don't mind helping you out at all...

OK guys...I have been away from the computer for a bit. Fallkniven, we might take you up on that offer. Acer, my brain is about fried for the evening...just had a mentally challanging issue I had to deal with..and I will have to look at what you wrote and comprehend it! Thanks for the feedback...exactly what I was looking for. Between you two and maybe GroundHog...we should be able to get this figured out! I will get back to you all either via PM's or this thread. Thanks a bunch!! ZQ

Good luck on your endeavors..I just weighed the momentum hammock and it weighed in the Zpacks cuben hammock bag,,9 oz..if I strip the 2-6' whoopies,,and the RL off, it would even weigh I am guessing couple ozs less maybe.

Acer, I haven't studied your pics and comments yet on post #13, but with a quick look it looks like I will be making the orginal UQP at a to be determined longer length, and add a few tabs at to be determined places. I already put a channel and shock cord with a cord lock on the 2 sides of the UQP. Does this sound right? I will study the pics and comments tomorrow sometime. Thanks for all your help! Donna

One more thing. The breathable UQP weighs approx 6.5 ounces. The longer length shouldn't add too much weight.

I've got a BMB UL and I also have your UQP. LeighLo 2/3 UQ.

If I get a chance, I'll set it up in the spare room and see how it fits out of the box. I'd be surprised if it doesn't do the job. Bit busy at the moment, builders tearing the floor up and laying a new one...

I have read over all the comments again with a clear head! Looking at the suggested measurements....the UQP we make right now would be the correct length. The only thing I should add would be the tabs to attach the UQP to the four corners of the hammock. Fallkniven suggested 1 foot from each end...does this sound right...Acer, did you measure the distance of the gathered end of your hammock to the corner of your bridge hammock?

The only difference between the 2 UQPs would be the additional tabs. Do the two of you agree? Edit...add photohiker..to make it the three of you!
