I feel kinda bad for the guys out there on this one. It's been raining around here since Friday evening. Guess it'll make for a good test of their tarps.

Actually, it's fairly dry right now. I got in about an hour and an half ago, and it stopped raining (finally; I rode through four hours of headwind and rain) on my way in on the trail.
Nobody seems to be here, though...not sure if they left early or didn't show at all. Well, the forum motto definitely applies. I'm gonna go eat breakfast now.
I like to go out when bad weather is forecast. Sometimes, there's nothing like having the piney woods to oneself

We actually went out to Bayard. The people I was going with wanted to try that place. I couldn't use my hammock though. I set it up between 2 trees and the wind filled it like a parachute. With the wind and rain coming off of the River I decided to just sleep in the tent with my kids.
Portions of it were really flooded, while other portions were bone dry. It really depended on the elevation: the portion of the yellow trail from the white trail intersection to the yellow spur was pretty flooded, whereas the rest of the yellow loop was dry. The red trail was fairly dry, while the powerline right-of way was flooded in spots. The unmarked trail off of the powerline was completely flooded.
Trip report to follow...
My initial trip report is up. I should have a video together by the morning.
