if we did a group paddle/hang on Lake Cumberland is the land adjoining the lake legally ok for hammocking? Our lakes here in e.TN are often bounded by national forest and we can hang basically where we want to--and have to since hammocks rule over the steep ground.
What about April--the mass of boaters aren't out by then I don't think....April 20-22 could be warm enough?

If you decide/are able to, let me know. That's probably about as close to a group hang as I'll get from West TN.
    It'll be alright Friday!

Let's first research where we can camp along the lake....this is a big lake so lets also consider hanging at a different spot each night. Maybe have a meet up Friday mid day, paddle to a hang spot, then paddle to a different hang spot Saturday....just talking out loud but personally I've had enough 'base camping' and want to keep moving if possible...now if memory serves from a gander of long ago at a map of L.Cumberland we could do a circuit paddle ending up at the same place we begin--negating shuttle needs--might have to cross the main channel (don't know) but surely can do a 3 day paddle with the first and third being low mileage days.

Well you have certainly come to the right place. Went kayak/hammock camping last summer in Alaska! It was awesome!

If a Lake Cumberland trip comes together, I'd be interested.
