    Wally world fabric...ID?

I bought what I beleive to be uncoated ripstop nylon from Wally world yesterday, seems as though they are getting back into the fabric biz again. Found these two in the clearance section. I thought i'd put a pic up to see if anyone could give me a better idea if they are what I believed them to be. The fabric-knowledgeable associates were nowhere to be found and I waited forever to get bubba to price up the yardage I found.

this one I wasn't quite sure of but, it fealt the same (just a little heavier).

this one I was almost sure was ripstop, just not treated.

Not sure of the top one but the bottom one was a good find. I don't have a Walmart so I can't get that lucky...

The bottom they had priced at a dollar a yard so I bought all of that roll. It was just over 4 yards so that should be enough for 1 hammock.

They brought back the fabric to the walmarts near me...but none of them EVER have ripstop!

Cheap ripstop is always good for stuff sacks and things if nothing else, and you can't beat $1 a yard!

Amen to that! And if the other isn't good for hammock, it should work for something else or i'll give it to my daughter for her adventures in sewing...

Sounds like you are going to have someone who can DIY gear for you. My DIY started with sewing by hand. The first stuff sack I made still looks better than my hems with a machine to this day.

Hopefully she keeps up the interest, i'll give her all the requests she can handle while she's still interested... Found some more today in a cobalt blue, not enough for a hammock but, enough for stuff sacks and learning to hem. Maybe an under hammock for the gear, hmm the possibilities.

Ha, you will never look at the sewing section the same again. Welcome to the DIY side.

Plus shipping that typically brings it up closer to ~$2/yd. Don't get me wrong, I have and will continue to buy from magna, it's just that saying $0.85/yd is misleading unless you are local and can pick it up.
