    Zing-It vs. Lash-It, Dynaglide?

    Hi all,
I am trying to find out what the difference is between Zing-It and Lash-It. From the Samson web site, it looks like they are the same cord (same strength) except Zing-It is coated with a bright yellow, abraison resistant coating that does not hold knots very well. Not so sure about Lash-It but it may have a coating that is not as slippery.

I searched the forum and found loads of references but no answers to my exact questions.

If anyone has any info, I would like to hear it. And while you're at it...what is Dynaglide and how is it different than Zing-It and Lash-It?

    Thanks for the info,
    Dave

I think they are exactly the same only with two different names and colors. When it comes to Dynaglide I think it MAY have a bit higher strength because I've seen it used as suspension before. (but don't take my word for it)

Packeagle is correct is that the only difference between Zing-It and Lash-It is the colour. Yellow and grey respectively.

From the New England Ropes website. Dynaglide is a highly visible snag free throwline made from 100% HMPE (High Modulus Polyethylene) that is pre-stretched and tensile-set then treated with a urethane coating. Compact design glides easily over branches allowing lighter throw weights. It has a strength rating of 1000 pounds and is 2mm is diameter.

It is also a hollow braid construction and can be spliced to make whoopie slings, fixed eyes, etc.

    Hope this helps.

This was asked last April. That thread has links to specs page of the manufacturer. Color is the main difference and the length of line on the spools is different. Zing-it comes in longer lengths in the 2.2mm size.

Interesting that they call it arborists throw line or prusik cord.
