Hammock for a.... bigger... person...

So yea i'm a pretty big guy and i'm looking for a hammock. I know nothing about hammocks as it is, besides how to kind of set one up... I'm looking for something that can keep the bugs and moisture and when raining the water out, as well as be able to hold like 350ish+ lbs of person and be able to accomodate someone at least 6'5". I've got this back pain i just can't seem to get rid of and i've heard that sleeping in a hammock can be good on your back. Anything would help please.

A Treklight double or Eno double hammock would work. They are almost identical hammocks.

As a big guy myself (big as in heavy, not tall) I can vouch for the treklight double. I weigh in at 300 pounds and it handles my weight easily. It's capacity is 400 pounds.

Ok, does the Treklight or the ENO have the mosquito netting and the zipper like the DD group buy hammock does? Basically i'm looking for something exactly like the DD group buy one but that has mosquito netting, zipper function with slab that can protect against rain if it does rain and can hold the 400 lbs that the double can.

I was at 350 (323 now) when I bought my ENO Double Nest last fall. The ENO handles my weight just fine. I did go with 1.5" webbing for my straps just to be sure it was strong enough. As for the bug net, with the ENO you use a seperate netting that fits over the hammock like a sleeve.

Hammock Bliss have the permanent netting, and handles the same weight capacity (4oo# rating).

I actually like the material of my Bliss better than my ENO. Lots of options out there! And you were just looking for a simple answer, huh!

I think you may want to check out the ENO One Link System. Either the singlenest or the doublenest, they both will hold up to 400 lbs. The zipper is in the center of the bugnetting, and it comes with a tarp. I don't think it's a bad setup and you won't have to modify anything or buy extra stuff to make something work out, unless you want to.

The Travel Hammock Skeeter Beeter as attached bugnetting and is rated to 400lbs and is very roomy!

The Skeeter Beeter only goes to 250 I'm pretty sure. It's the "Pro" that goes to 400. I just ordered a couple of these from Altrec last week when they had them on sale for $49.99. The Specs say it measures 10'6" x 5'. I'm 5'10" so a bit shorter than you but I'll try and give you an idea of the roominess when it arrives.
