    Think I'm getting sick.

Packing for a weekend hammock expedition and just moved something from a freezer bag to a regular sandwich bag because sandwich bags are lighter.

There is a nice side benefit to this mentality. I spend less money because counting every gram and assigning value to items is much like counting every penny and deciding if something is worth it.

Until you bought a new $300 down quilt, because it weighed less, and the new UL backpack, and the new mini waterfilter, and the new spinn tarp, and the new cuben tarp and the new whoopie slings, and the new microfleece jacket and the new down hat and the new pair of trail shoes and the new carbon fiber hiking poles and the new mini camera and the new freeze-dried trail foods and the new stove and the new gps unit......

I'm convinced, if I just buy and carry enough lightweight gear my load will finally be under 20 pounds! Right?
Hey, at least my wallet will be lighter!

Won't the non-freezer bag melt when you try to cook in it? I don't understand the rationale, unless you were just using the freezer bag for storage and not to cook in.

Never said I don't buy gear. But when I do it is well researched and good stuff!
