    14* best night ever

so it seems like a common goal is cold and comfy. well last night I nailed both. I have the M5-oh to sleep in now. It's a diy hammock made out of M50. Oh so amazing is all I can say. I have a 0* incubator and a 30* rev x. I also have a diy hammock sock made from M50 as well.

The temps were already on the low 20s when I got into the M5-oh. I was asleep in 15 min. I only woke to the wind thrashing the tarp around. temps got to 14*.... that's in the sock who knows what they got to outside the sock. I did not check. brrrrr

now I'm ready for some below 0 action!!!!

Yowza! Glad you didn't have to get up in the middle of the night to . . . well... draw in the snow!

    nice!

Congrats on your new personnel best.
I don't know what it is about hammock forum members and cold weather
but we all sure like to hang when the temps dip. I love it.

Cold and comfy is what it's about this time of year. Looks like you've got it dialed in!

    Congrats! Very cool .

It's always great to test those lows and see where it can take you.

What size did you make your DIY and how much does it weigh as a result? M50 looks very interesting as a fabric, but I haven't had a chance to try it yet. What specific things do you like in it over other DIY/hammocks you've tried?

I may get lucky and see those temps in January...

Just curious: Are you a cold or warm sleeper? Did you get your incubator stock or overstuffed? Thanks and congrats!

As far as I know, hammock folk are the only ones on the planet that you hear say "I sure hope it gets insanely cold tonite" or "I sure hope it rains really hard tonite" or "I'm sleeping in the back yard tonite!"
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.
