Looking more like I can attend... would it be OK if I bring along my 13 year old, Henry?

Not sure if anyone else is bringing the wee folk. (Didn't read the whole thread)

No problem bring Henry along. I may have one or more of my sons. 7, 13, and 15. Not sure which one(s) yet. Absolutely. Also there are a lot of people coming from the east coast on here. You might want to see if you could car pool.

    Cool. I'm on the list.

Generally, I'm big on carpooling - but the wife insists I be able to bail if Henry has issues. This would be a first winter campout for him, though I have plenty of gear and experience down to low temps.

I'd hate to have to haul someone else back early if they couldn't secure another ride back.

If weather is single digits to negative, I'd be coming solo and have plenty of room in the jeep for other cold-weather masochists to revel in our pending silliness. Will update as forecast becomes clear.

I will probably be bringing a twelver with me too. It would be his first winter doings as well.
If it moves, you can eat it. No promises you will think it tastes good.

Worst case, there are local hotels nearby. And, sleeping in a vehicle is always an option, if they get too cold.

Just bring more than you think you will need and you will be fine. I had my 7 year old out last year in the teens. You will have no problems.

Let me know. We do need to have a firm idea on food.
I'd like to expand on Nighthauk's food question. We have many people listing food that they are bringing. We don't require anybody to bring anything for the group and I just want to make sure that's clear.

For the people that are I've added a "Group food for" column. This will allow people to look at the different meals and what's being brought if they want to contribute. This will allow us to spread out and coordinate with others so that we don't have a lot of waste.

For example - I'm bringing eggs and bacon for Sat. morning. If someone else is bringing bacon or eggs they can list it for that breakfast on Sat. and p.m. me to coordinate amounts or list it for another meal. If you have something else for the Sat. Breakfast and it's a group contribution list it for that meal.

I hope that's clear and helps us plan considering the amount of people and food I see listed.

Cool. Henry is a good kid, but like all of us, has some quirks.

If you have met any kids with Aspergers, you'll get it. While he is usually good company, he can be a bit immature for his age (like me), and occasionally will have anxiety in new situations. Generally, camping has been a relaxing time, but occasionally I have to assess the situation and hit the abort switch to keep camping times in the happy memories bin.

The bigger danger is he will talk your ear off if you start discussing fishing, Pokemon, video games, or Lego. Beyond this risk, I am not expecting a problem - but luck favors the best prepared.
