LOL! Um...no...it has never been washed. I dry it on a clothes line after every trip but have never washed it.

You have me LOL'ing now. I see two choices...wash it and you're good for another 3 or 4 years...or donate it to science.
HAHAHA!!! I'll try washing it first
Fleece or jacket stuffed into an unused stuffsack.
I recently got a regular type pillow from UGQ, 10x16, 3 1/2 oz or so of 850 down. It was a gift and I thought it was too large for me, but I tried it and was surprised with the comfort level. Love it!
Just get a small fleece blanket. Roll it up and instant pillow. Very comfortable and doubles as an extra blanket if you get cold. You can find fleece blankets at most thrift stores for just a few dollars.
Have done this before in cold-weather. very useful.
But one of my luxury items that's absolutely not even close to space or weight efficiency backpacking, but the ENO pack pillow is the bee's knees. Use it at home all the time and find that having that familiar pillows helps with my overall comfort. Not to mention it's lost virtually no loft since I got it and it packs up into an ENO tarp stuff sack. Fleece on one side, polyester on the other, warm for cold nights and cool for warm nights. Love this thing.
I've been loving AHE's Snoring Cub for over a year now. To be honest, when I first saw it I thought it was ridiculously tiny, much too small to be of any real use....then I tried it.
I've never wished for a larger pillow since. Best $15 I've ever invested in my sleep system.
Check out Feathered Friends Geoduck Pillow. This has worked for me very well.
