I am not sure on the water access at the First Camp Site.

I Plan to pack most of what I need for Friday and Sat Night and refilling along any Source Sunday.

I am good with the Clockwise rotation and staying at the green listed back pack camp. If you scoped them out and feel that's the best hang spot then we can roll with your judgment easy enough!

I was just asking if we were doing both loops as the one listed in the map marked green and red is only about 4 miles per what I have read and the Cuivre River trail consists of both the North and South Loops.

I plan to try and get there around 3pm, but will post a for sure time once I get with RamenShamen and set a time to leave.

So the question is, meet at the trail head or meet at the Camp site? I think if that is the hang spot I will hang at the camp site and wait so I don't have to break down my camp and set back up again LOL.

On the water thing. I think most all of us can filter water, but if you don't have a water filtering system don't worry about it. I have no issue filtering for you.

I don't think that'll be too big considering how tall/large you are; sounds perfect for you.

Looking forward to having you along!

Where is everybody at, I've been here at the trailhead waiting for three hours and not a single person showed up. Just kidding but I am ready to go!

Wow, they're talking about more snow Tuesday and maybe quite a bit. Talking about low temps around twenty or maybe even lower. What a first trip experience, it'll either make me or break me. Been trying to get my pack weight down under thirty pounds but not likely now, probably be more like fifty now. Looks like a two sleep bag night. If I can get the ok from my sweet gardeanya I may try to get up there Friday afternoon.

My trail skills are almost none. I can go 50 yards off a trail and be lost.
That's bad enough but put snow on a trail an unless every other tree
was marked with a ribbon I would be lost till spring.

I have never camped in snow and would like to experience it however the
problem of finding the campsite and finding firewood under the snow is way beyond my skills.

There is probably 2 or 3 inches on the trail now with more in the forecast
    for Tuesday.

    Any thoughts? solutions? options?

I think we'll see significant melting today and tomorrow. Either way, it will be a challenge finding dry firewood. We're going to have to process it well before it will burn. I'll be bringing my folding saw and heavy bowie for splitting.
With beauty all around you, may you walk.
